2026 Asa Day Festival
The Asa Day festival brought Yoruba heritage to life through rhythmic drumming, traditional folklore, vibrant regalia, and authentic cuisine.
The gathering served as both a spirited community homecoming and a vital cultural bridge, passing timeless West African customs to the next generation.
Cultural Exhibition and Colloqium
The cultural exhibition and colloquium deepened the event’s impact through rich visual displays and thought-provoking dialogue.
Bringing together elders, scholars, and youth, the sessions explored Yoruba philosophy, artistic traditions, and the vital role of cultural preservation within Canada’s multicultural landscape.
Partnering for Protection
The association hosted an impactful engagement session featuring the Ottawa Police Chief, who led a presentation on online fraud prevention.
The interactive discussion addressed emerging digital threats, equipping members and families with vital tools and safety practices to confidently protect themselves against modern cyber scams.
